Transforming America

In the United States today, every household has an average of 3-4 Bibles. But only 17 percent of the American population—just 54 million people—read the Bible on a regular basis. Whether they don’t have time to read it, don’t know where to start or question its relevance in their lives, they need help engaging with the pages of Scripture.

But through a campaign focused on transforming America with God’s Word, these people can find the support they need to encounter Christ in the Bible. The campaign’s two-part approach includes advocating for the Bible in culture and equipping local churches and communities to share Scripture with those who need it most.

Through this effort, people from across the nation can experience the Bible in new ways. Your support will help see 100 million people in the U.S. actively engaging with God’s Word by 2025.

“The Bible has historically been the undergirding document for our nation. Now at a tragic pace our country is marginalizing the very Word of God, right when we need its principles more than ever. We at American Bible Society feel called by God to step into this critical gap right now and chart a new future of Bible influence and transformation in our nation.”
